A Nutritionist Weighs in...

Jenny Craig promotes balanced nutrition and healthy foods, but the required Jenny meals and snacks may turn off some dieters. For someone who does not want to think about what they eat or who does not dine out often, this plan may be a good option. However, if you enjoy cooking or eating out, you will most likely find this plan boring and inconvenient. Dieters may also find it difficult to go from this type of plan to the real world where you are required to make many food choices and select appropriate portion sizes.

I also do not like to promote eating prepackaged meals for every meal of every day since many chemicals and preservatives are used during packaging.

Eating with Jenny = Living with Jenny

Jenny Craig requires you to only eat Jenny foods, which will prevent you from dining out with friends or even eating the same food as your family. Traveling will also be difficult since you would need to cart your Jenny food with you. The price could also be an issue, since buying the Jenny food may cost more money than you normally spend on food. If you do not find these issues problematic, then Jenny Craig may be the right program for you!
