The Fat Flush Diet Plan

The goal of The Fat Flush Diet Plan is to increase your metabolism, flush out bloat and speed up fat loss. This diet claims that there are five hidden weight loss factors that prevent you from losing weight, and that by following The Fat Flush Diet Plan, you will address these factors, as you cleanse your body and activate the fat-burning process. The diet is based on the belief that essential fats are absolutely necessary for rapid weight loss, longevity and good health. The diet relies on a unique combination of healthy essential fats, balanced proteins, and colorful carbohydrates to provide the weight loss results you want.

Promising weight loss, this plan prescribes daily consumption of a cranberry juice-water mixture and the Long Life cocktail, which is a cocktail of cranberry juice, water, and psyllium husks or flaxseed. Be warned, these cocktails will replace those made from alcohol, caffeine, or sugar ? which obviously means no coffee, tea, soft drinks or cosmopolitans for a while.

What makes the Fat Flush Diet plan different?

The Fat Flush Diet Plan calls for a diet made up of 30% carbohydrates (in the form of low-glycemic fruits and vegetables), 30% protein and 40% high-quality fats, especially flaxseed oil. It is different from other weight loss plans because it involves a two week Fat Flush, requiring the elimination of wheat, dairy and sugar, and the intake of cleansing juice mixtures.

What is the Fat Flush Diet plan?

The Fat Flush Diet Plan has three phases:

Phase 1: Fat Flush - This is a two week phase that jumpstarts your weight loss, by restricting you to 1,100-1,200 calories per day. Everyone should adhere to this phase for the whole two weeks, since everyone needs a little "cleaning out." If you need to lose over twenty-five pounds, you can stay on this phase of the program for longer (the claim is that it is safe for up to one month). A typical day during this phase includes:

After waking up: A Long Life cocktail (cranberry water with flaxseeds or psyllium husks) and eight ounces of hot water with lemon juice before breakfast.

Breakfast: Scrambled eggs with vegetables and one 8-ounce glass of cran-water.

Midmorning snack: 1/2 of a large grapefruit and another 8-ounce glass of cran-water before lunch.

Lunch: Salmon with lemon and garlic, vegetables, a side salad with flaxseed oil and one 8-ounce glass of cran-water.

Midafternoon snack: Two 8-ounce glasses of cran-water and one apple.

Twenty minutes before dinner: Another 8-ounce glass of cran-water.

Dinner: Turkey with mushrooms, and spaghetti squash with flaxseed oil.

Sorry, no dessert.

Phase 2: Ongoing Fat Flush - This intermediate phase of the Fat Flush Diet Plan combines additional weight loss with a more diverse diet, which even includes carbs. This phase is for people who have not reached their goal weight in the first phase, and mandates 1,200-1,500 calories each day. It can be followed until this desired weight is reached. During this phase, you can replace the cran-water combination with pure spring water. You can also add two friendly carbohydrates to your diet, choosing from sprouted-grain toast, sweet potatoes, green peas, cooked carrots, butternut squash and acorn squash.

Phase 3: The Lifestyle Eating Plan - This is the maintenance phase of the Fat Flush Diet Plan and allows over 1,500 calories per day - finally, some food! During this phase, you can add two more servings of friendly carbohydrates, including corn tortillas, corn on the cob, a small baked potato, beans, brown rice, whole grain pasta, crackers and popcorn. You can also add dairy products, such as hard cheese, low-fat cottage or ricotta cheese, and plain non-fat or low-fat yogurt.

During all three phases, the Fat Flush Diet Plan recommends recording your measurements and tracking your emotions, so you can be clear about the feelings the lie behind your eating habits.

Some of this plan's food rules include:

  • Fruits and vegetables should not be eaten together, and milk and meat should not be eaten together.
  • Water should not be drunk at meals until your food is swallowed.
  • You should always "lemonize" your food, by squeezing lemon over almost everything you eat.

What are the weight loss expectations?

The Fat Flush Diet Plan claims you can lose up to 12 inches during the first phase of the diet. Women can expect to lose up to five pounds, and men typically lose eight to sixteen pounds during phase one.

Is exercise promoted?

During all three phases of the Fat Flush Diet Plan, you will engage in moderate, low-intensity exercise, starting with a brisk daily walk at least five days per week, and then add strength training twice a week to help tighten and tone muscles. In phase one, you will do twenty minutes of brisk walking, dramatically swinging your arms back and forth, in order to stimulate lymph flow and keep toxins moving. During phases two and three, you will increase your exercise to thirty and then forty minutes. You will also need to purchase a mini-trampoline and bounce on it every day for five minutes, to gently ease waste materials out of the lymphatic system.

Are supplements recommended?

There are many supplements recommended on The Fat Flush Diet Plan, including evening primrose oil (gamma-linolenic acid), L-carnitine, chromium, zinc, a balanced multivitamin and multi-mineral supplement, and a weight loss formula. These are all conveniently made available for purchase in the Fat Flush Diet Kit.
