A Nutritionist Weighs in...

Weight Watchers is a good program that promotes an easy-to-follow eating plan. I like that it encourages you to eat healthy foods and keep track of what you eat, but also allows for the occasional treat. The more restrictive the plan, the more likely you will slip up. Weekly meetings are also a great way to meet and share stories with other fellow dieters and keep you motivated. Each week is a different topic so you will learn some new tips each week.

They are run by other Weight Watcher lifetime members, not health professionals, so you should look to meetings for moral support, rather than professional nutritional services.

If you can make some small lifestyle changes, you might be able to stick to this one

The Weight Watchers diet plans are easy to follow and can fit into anyone's lifestyle. The Flex Plan requires tracking food and POINTS, which may not be doable for some people since it can be time-consuming. This program does, however, allow you to eat virtually anything you want, which may be just what you are looking for! The Core Plan does not require tracking your food, but is more restrictive in your food choices. There is, however, some room for treats. If the idea of attending meetings and weekly weigh-ins is not your thing, you can always join the online program and watch your weight from the privacy of your own home. You can even download the online tools to your handheld PDA, so no excuses! Overall, this plan allows flexibility and includes foods you can enjoy with your family, in restaurants, and during travel.
