Though the diet is restrictive, with the proper motivation and fanatic adherence it can make a big difference in control of blood sugar, cholesterol and triglycerides. Within three months of starting the diet my A1C went from 8.6% to 6.0%. Total cholesterol went from 203 to 143 (HDL from 42 to 46, LDL from 87 to 66). Triglycerides went from 370 to 157. I was able to go off all meds, didn't have to exercise much, and was not hungry all the time, as when trying to follow my nutritionist's plan

I won't do diets but this has helped me enormously - I feel healthier and I have been able to stop taking some of my medications already - only two weeks into it. I only feel hungry when I eat sugar, and Dr. Rosedale warned me that would happen. When I stick to the diet I feel satisfied and so good, I actually feel good, my mood is improved from before - people notice and tell me.
