A Nutritionist Weighs in...

If you are a fan of Richard Simmons, this is the diet for you. The cartoon-like website may seem a little corny, but if can get past the "fantasy-land" décor, then there is definitely a lot of useful information concerning diet and exercise.

The meal plans are low in calories and fat, but may get boring after a while. Though the meals are nothing incredibly creative or special, they do make realistic recommendations for healthy and low calorie choices. Some recipes suggest the use of too many processed and "fat free" products that contain unhealthy chemicals. You would be better off avoiding these foods or replacing them with healthier alternatives.

Be warned - the website constantly attempts to take your money! Beyond the initial fee and monthly charges, there are constant sales pitches that encourage you to buy products from the online store.

This plan can work for anyone (who is a Richard Simmons fan)

This plan can be applied practically to the lifestyles of many dieters. It is well organized and can be modified for both men and women, whereas many other plans only take one gender into account. It aims to make reasonable suggestions based upon individuals' specific needs, no matter what their current weight or activity level.

You do need Internet access to stay on this plan (at least in the beginning) and also must consider the monthly subscription fees. Unlike many other online diet plans, this does not offer access to nutrition professionals who can answer questions or give advice.
