I found this diet to be very sensible and a lot like how we know we ought to be eating - but slightly more extreme. The low calorie intake may leave some feeling hungry or sluggish at first, but exercising daily and sticking with it will change that feeling to one of buoyant well-being.

Great diet, but not for everyone

This diet was perfect for me, I am not a big meat eater to begin with (I just don't particularly care for it) so giving up the meat was not too difficult for me. That is the reason I choose this diet, I love my fruits, pasta and rice. So after cutting out the little meat that I ate and all the refined sugar, I started loosing weight and have continued. I would suggest this diet to whom does not normally eat a lot of meat, but if it is a staple in your diet you might want to try something else.

Life changing

Once you get the hang of identifying hidden fats and counting fat ---and how to deal with eating out ( you have to special order pretty much everything), this is an easy plan for life. Most importantly, you MUST exercise daily ( including weekends) . This diet is about de-programming and changing habits. Super easy to follow if you don't care about meat and dairy. Took me 3 years to go from 220 lb to 134lb, but 6 years after reaching my goal, i have managed to keep the habits on and the weight off.

can't live without fat

I knew I could not give up carbs, so I tried the Ornish diet since you can have plenty of them. I now realize that I can't live without fat either! I did lose some weight, but I missed my nuts and salmon sushi. One good thing is I eat out a lot and it was pretty easy to stay on the diet, as long as you order everything very bland!
