A Nutritionist Weighs in...

Although the Bread for Life Diet does encourage healthy foods, there is a lack of variety, which means that you may not get all your needed nutrients from food. Oddly enough, the diet claims to have a wide variety and flexibility with regards to food choices. Protein is also lacking on this plan and many people may not be completely satisfied with the food selection. Just because you are eating every few hours does not mean you will feel satisfied.

It might be bread for a few months, but bread for life will get old

This plan should not be too challenging to follow, at least for a while. While you may get sick at the sight of bread, it is possible to bring bread with you to work or school and there is always a bread basket at restaurants. The Bread for Life Diet claims to be a healthy lifestyle for your whole family, but they might get bored. The bigger question is whether you can live within the limits and stick to those very thin spreads on your bread.
