A Nutritionist Weighs in...

The Martina Navratilova Your Self Diet Plan is based on an approach of balanced nutrition, and overall it contains good nutritional advice. There is no elimination of food groups, but a strong emphasis on vegetarian foods. Although there is no reference to the amount of weight loss you yourself can expect, if you adopt many of the diet’s eating and exercise habits, you will most likely lose weight.

I also like that exercise is strongly encouraged with a gradual adoption of an exercise regime. It is also refreshing to find a diet that does not severely limit calories and then require multiple supplements. Just like Martina Navratilova recommends, your best bet is to get yourself the necessary vitamins and minerals from the food you eat.

You don’t have to play professional tennis to follow this diet…

The Your Self Diet Plan is practical, since it allows you to eat real foods and does not have severe limitations. Everybody in the family can eat the same food, as nobody needs to have food specially prepared. Dieters do not need to count calories or prepare meals at home, so traveling and eating out should not be a problem either. Some people, however, may find it challenging to include exercise in their daily routine. Moreover, swapping morning coffee for fresh juice is just simply not going to happen with some people.
